PostSubject: Technical Meeting Update # 6   Thu 17 Aug - 19:36

1. Service tag: 1SM3R91 / I9400 / Intel 3945. Wireless connection drops if connected to an 802.11b router. But connection is stable with an 802.11g router. Once connection drops (disconnects & reconnects) it produces a beeping sound if intel utility is enabled. But if cust will use WZC connection is still intermittent but no longer produces the beeping sound.
Case # 138535000

=> Try setting the utility to B only. Try updating the router firmware.

2. Channel 161 not picked up by the Dell Truemobile 1400 card
Case# 137115006

=> Channels 161 is for outdoor bridging only. We don't support connection to this channel. Advise cust to use other channels.

3. Verizon are referring customers to Dell Wireless because of ESN and Phone Number issues. It is stated in Delltech that this issue should be referred to the service provider. We donít have an idea how to resolve and ESN error.
=> This should be handled by the service provider.

4. Are we going to support GTS wireless issues?
=> GTS wireless issues should be handled by the GTS department. James Vance requested for the names of GTS technicians who transferred GTS wireless calls to the Wireless department.
